The Nature of the Son

1 Long ago God spoke^(A) to the fathers by the prophets^(B) at different times and in different ways.^{(C) 2} In these last days,^(D) He has spoken to us by His Son. God has appointed Him heir of all things and made the universe^[a](E) through Him.

²⁵ He said to them, “How unwise and slow you are to believe in your hearts all that the prophets have spoken!^{(A) 26} Didn’t the Messiah have to suffer^(B) these things and enter into His glory?”^{(C) 27} Then beginning with Moses^(D) and all the Prophets,^(E) He interpreted for them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.^(F)
